SAFETY4SEA is pleased to announce the distinguished shortlisted nominees for the 2020 SMART4SEA Awards, following an online nomination process, initiated a few months ahead, where industry stakeholders proposed nominations. The aim of the awards is to recognize those organizations that demonstrated outstanding performance within the scope of fostering Smart & Sustainable Shipping.  

SAFETY4SEA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 SMART4SEA – EUROPORT Awards on e-navigation, cyber security, initiative, technology and ship operator that have showcased excellence and innovation within the maritime industry towards a smarter and more sustainable shipping.

At the 2019 SMART4SEA Conference, Cynthia Hudson, CEO, HudsonAnalytix, suggested that a response organization headed by an appointed Cyber QI or similar in the US, Cyber Incident Response Team and Cyber Incident Response Organization be strongly considered during planning, training and exercise process of Cyber Incident Readiness.

During the 2019 SMART4SEA Conference, Demetres Armanes, Senior Engineer, ABS, discussed Smart Functions, which are becoming increasingly common onboard marine and offshore vessels, providing crew and support personnel with key information to aid in decision- making.
