In its weekly report for 15-21 June, ReCAAP ISC informed of one armed robbery against ships in Asia. The incident occurred to a container ship while anchored at South Harbour Anchorage, Manila, the Philippines. 

A total of four incidents of armed robbery against ships were reported in Asia in May 2021, including three actual and one attempted incident, according to ReCAAP ISC monthly piracy report. There was no piracy incident, while the number of incidents reported during January-May 2021 has decreased compared to January-May 2020. 

In its weekly report for 1-7 June, ReCAAP ISC informed of two incidents of armed robbery against ships in Asia, both to ships while underway in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait.

In its weekly report for 24-31 May 2021, ReCAAP ISC informed of one armed robbery against ships in Asia. The incident occurred to a dead ship towed by a tug while underway off Diu, India when 10 perpetrators in two fishing boats boarded the dead ship from astern by using ladder.

In its weekly report for 18-24 May 2021, ReCAAP ISC informed of two incidents of armed robbery against ships in Asia. Both incidents occurred to ships while underway off Tanjung Pergam, Bintan Island, Indonesia in the Singapore Strait, on 23 May and 24 May, within an interval of three hours.

A total of seven incidents of armed robbery occurred against ships in Asia in April 2021, according to ReCAAP ISC monthly report. There was no piracy incident. The report shows the number of incidents in January-April 2021 has decreased compared to January-April 2020, thanks to the decrease of incidents in several locations in Asia. 

In its weekly report for 4-10 May 2021, ReCAAP ISC informed of one attempted armed robbery against ships in Asia, involving a tanker underway off Batam, Indonesia in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait. 

In its weekly report for 27 Apr-3 May 2021, ReCAAP ISC informed of one armed robbery against ships in Asia, involving a tug boat and a barge anchored at South Harbour Anchorage, Manila, Philippines, in the early morning hours of 20 April. 

The chemical/oil product tanker 'Henry Maersk' became subject of an armed robbery while berthed at MOT Terminal, Sandakan, Sabah, East Malaysia, ReCAAP ISC said in its weekly piracy report. 

ReCAAP ISC issued another Incident Alert, informing of two incidents against ships while underway off Tanjung Pergam, Bintan Island, Indonesia. The two incidents occurred within an interval of four hours and in close proximity to each other in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait.
