Royal Caribbean's Silversea Cruises launched the Silver Origin cruise vessel including innovative sea trials followed by remote operations and challenges that the shipyard had to overcome due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An accident onboard the cruise vessel Genting Dream has been investigated, after a 10-year-old boy drowned in the vessel's pool. The disembarking crew members are all on their way home. After their ship has docked at Cruise Port Rotterdam, they will be picked up in a predetermined order and transferred to their next transit point or final destination. With the US embargoes cruise operations due to the COVID-19 situation, Port of Oakland recently informed that three cruise vessels are scheduled to berth at the port's facility.
