MSG to cover its ECDIS training requirements worldwide
Appointed as official training agent by ChartWorld

2011.5.3-ECDIS.jpgMSG MarineServe GmbH, one of Hamburg's leading training companies, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as official training agent by ChartWorld to provide ECDIS training services locally and worldwide.

The agreement is part of a comprehensive arrangement involving MSG itself, its sister company Safebridge GmbH and ETC to ensure that ChartWorld is able to offer a complete equipment training service in support of its global customer base configured on a single, comprehensive, training structure and methodology. This approach guarantees the quality and consistency of the training whilst allowing ChartWorld to monitor content, quality standards and recordkeeping through a single point of contact.

One of the attractions of the MSG/Safebridge arrangement is the online E-Learning concept offered by Safebridge, which provides a perfect match to ChartWorld's own marketing strategy for the eGlobe ECDIS unit whilst still providing full coverage for more traditional classroom training that can include generic ECDIS training if required. Commenting on the new collaboration, Stephan Dimke, ChartWorld Sales Director, said:

"A core part of the service and support concept behind the e-Series "ECDIS as a Service" offering is the training collaboration with MSG Marine Serve and Safebridge. The unique blend of traditional class room based training and advanced E-Learning programs offered by MSG MarineServe and Safebridge is the perfect complement to the ChartWorld "ECDIS as a Service" philosophy. It is not only a major contribution to safety but also dramatically simplifies the problem of delivering crew training on a worldwide basis in order to maintain maximum crew flexibility and availability."

MSG is in a position through its partners in its associated ECDIS Training Consortium, ETC, to meet the multi-locational nature of the demand for training at a commercially viable price. It will deliver its well established ECDIS training courseware, ECDIS training systems and approved Train-the-Trainer courses. MSG will also provide 24/7 certificate authentication and trainee database services for reference by its Partners, Customers, Port State Control and other concerned authorities.
