Ship Design Specialist &Senior Surveyor at Lloyd's Register
About me
Jesper Aagesen has more than 15 years of experience within the field of ship design and other marine engineering subjects. Jesper Aagesen graduated as a Naval Architect, M.Sc., from The Technical University of Denmark in 1997 and after that he worked as Project Manager for the Danish ship design company Carl Bro Marine dealing with ship design of multi-purpose vessels, bulk carriers, ferries and passenger vessels. In 2005 Jesper Aagesen joined A.P. Moller - Maersk, Maersk Ship Design, as General Manager, and has undertaken the project management role of many different projects throughout the world and has been involved in tender evaluations, contract and specification negotiations as well as ship design management mainly for container vessels and multi-purpose vessels.In 2010 Jesper Aagesen joined Lloyd's Register EMEA in Copenhagen as a Surveyor in the Design Support Office and from 2011 as Senior Surveyor and Ship Design Specialist in the Nordic Marine Business Team. This role includes the project management of LNG as fuel within Lloyd's Register as well as involvement in a number of projects related to ship design and green projects. Furthermore, Jesper Aagesen holds a Diploma in Economics (Pt. 1) from Copenhagen Business School and a Diploma in Ship Management from The National Sea Training Centre, North West Kent College.
