Valerio De Rossi is a Master Mariner and Offshore Installation Manager in command of ultra-deepwater dynamic positioned drillships engaged in oil and gas exploration world wide where he has spend more than 20 years working for oil majors with a keen interest in the safety aspect of his professional activity. He is a member of the Advisory Group MEPC (Marine Environment Protection) at the NI-IMO committee, author of the “Captain’s Column” on Seaways, the Nautical Institute magazine and he has recently published the book, “Cross-Cultural Safety” based on his doctoral research.
