In particular, there are several ways that certainly the primary way would be to look at coordinated stowage planning to work more closely with carriers to optimize the way ships are stowed in order to help ports and terminals. Another way  would be to try to reduce the peaks that are being brought about bigger ships. Finally the longer – term issue that could help is more advanced notice from the shipping lines of their fleet plans.
